Managing multiple analytics and marketing tags for your site can be a challenge. Incorrect or repetitive tags can distort data measurement and reduce your overall site performance. This course will cover the basics of Google Tag Manager, and then we will get hands on with creating our own Google Tag Manager installation. Learn how Google Tag Manager can simplify the tag implementation and management process for marketers, analysts, and developers.

There is a lot of information to learn so the series will be broken up into 2 parts. Part One will cover the basics of GTM (accounts, user roles, etc.) as well as our installation, account creation and when to use containers. Then we will add tags to our containers and work with triggers and variables to make them work to fit your needs. Once we are satisfied, we will publish our first container and then learn how to troubleshoot tags, debug results, and answer specific questions about Google Tag Manager. Part Two will cover automation opportunities using the data layer, automations, and advanced opportunities. We will also dive deeper into trouble-shooting, analysis, and reporting.

This course is designed for all skill levels and is the first in-depth training to ever be offered on Google Tag Manager in the Twin Cities.

Classes will be offered again spring of 2018.

The DemandQuest Google Tag Manager series is typically 2 classes lasting around 5-hours per (generally 12-5 pm), starting with beginning concepts and moving into advanced remarketing, optimization, reporting, and analytics. Individual classes are $350.
